has had the opportunity to prepare and assess entries in many design competitions in the broad scope of designing, and on a daily basis she is involved in projects related to the cultural heritage of Krakow.

she is interested, among others, in the anthropology of culture, including the problems of memory and the analysis of its artistic aspects: medium, grammar, areas of exploration.

DR AGNIESZKA ŁAKOMA

A graduate of the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Krakow Academy of Fine Arts and of History of Art at the Jagiellonian University. She holds a doctorate in the discipline of artistic arts.

with the Department of Culture and National Heritage of the Municipality of Krakow, acting as the City Visual Artist and Chairman of the Graphic Arts Section of the Association of Polish Artists in Krakow.

SHE HAS COOPERATED WITH

the International Cultural Centre, the National Museum and the Museum of Photography in Krakow. Her works can be found in many art collections (National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, China Printmaking Museum, Reykjanes Art Museum, National Museum in Warsaw, Municipal Art Gallery in Lodz, International Print Triennal in Krakow, etc.).

with the Urban Greenery Department in Krakow, where she created a project team involved in landscape design of urban spaces. She works following the principle that every space in the city matters.

Author of dozens of public space projects, including pocket parks built as part of the Ogrody Krakowian project, which has received numerous awards from experts including the Society of Polish Town Planners, which named Krakow's pocket parks as the best managed green public space in Poland in 2019.

she had the opportunity to host various editions of the "Forum Przestrzeni Małopolska" debate. She is the curator of an educational programme, "W miasto idziemy!" ("Into the city we go!"), carried out in Bunkier Sztuki, as well as a juror of many architectural competitions, including the INAW Interior Architecture Biennale, the "Krakow My Home" Architectural Award, the Stanisław Witkiewicz Prize of Lesser Poland Voivodship, and the competition for the curatorial design of the exhibition representing Poland at the Venice Architecture Biennale 2015 organised by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. She is also the editor of many books on architecture, including: "Architecturism. Hiszpania”, "Jak działa architektura”, "Architektura nowoczesna” and "Miasta wyśnione”.

of the Cracow University of Technology, Faculty of Civil Engineering. He defended his diploma dissertation in the field of Structural Engineering in 1987, obtaining the title of Master of Civil Engineering.

with a number of companies in the construction, development and technology industries. Former President of Management Boards and Chairman of Supervisory Boards of companies from all over Poland.

interested in architecture, design and widely understood art. Social activities are an inseparable part of his life. Yet, a special place in his heart is occupied by off-road tours, which he takes every year in his 4×4 car to the farthest corners of the five continents.

DR MARCIN MIELCZAREK

of the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź at the Faculty of Visual Education. He defended his PhD thesis at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow.

z with the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, conducting obligatory sculpture classes as part of the Sculpture Propedeutics Department, which functions in the Institute of Sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts.

HE IS THE AUTHOR

of a number of sculptural works exhibited in the public space of Poland and other European countries, including the Łódź tourist route "Łódź Bajkowa", a series of sculptures commemorating the characters of the Semafor Studio.

is engaged in breeding of pedigree dogs, being involved in the project of reconstruction and recognition of the sixth Polish breed - the Polish Hunting Spaniel..

POPULARISER OF ASTRONOMY

science journalist, commentator and author of publications on astronomy. An enthusiast and photographer of the night sky. Winner of the Award Popularizer of Science 2015 granted by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Polish Press Agency.

FOUNDER

of the most popular astronomical fanpage "Z głową w gwiazdach" on Facebook. Co-worker of Gazeta Wyborcza. Hosted popular science programmes on Discovery Science and TVN Turbo. Astronomy teacher at Eureka primary school. In the years 2008-2016 associated with the Copernicus Science Centre. Currently uncovers the secrets of the Arctic, during his expeditions to observe the aurora lights.

IN HIS PROFESSIONAL WORK

had the opportunity to organise one of the world's greatest joint observations of the night sky (for 12,000 people) and many other popular science events. He is a regular guest on TV and radio programmes.

IN HIS PRIVATE LIFE

travels all over the world in pursuit of solar eclipses and spends two months of the year behind the Arctic Circle hunting for the aurora lights. At the same time, he loves to laze on his patio at home, watching for meteors falling from the sky...

works in the field of structural dynamics, random vibrations of structures and seismology, as well as solving the so-called inverse problems in mechanics. He had the opportunity to collaborate with the University of Trento, Italy, and the Technion in Haifa, where he gave lectures in doctoral studies for many years, as well as with the Politecnico di Milano, ISMES Bergamo and Pavia University, where he conducted numerous experiments and theoretical studies.
